The Large Brass Ensembles within the Glenn Korff School of Music will perform a recital at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 2 in Kimball Recital Hall.
From the traditional “O Danny Boy” and “Down in the River” to more contemporary works like “Canterbury Flourish” and “The University of Nebraska March,” this recital promises to have something for everyone.
In addition to featuring works by well-known composers such as Gordon Jacob and John Phillip Sousa, you will also hear “Big Sky Country,” a work by University of Nebraska-Lincoln composition alum Daniel Baldwin. This concert showcases three of the Korff School of Music brass ensembles: The UNL Trumpet Ensemble, directed by Dr. Darryl White, the Husker Horn Choir, directed by Dr. Alan Mattingly, and the UNL Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, directed by Professor Craig Fuller.
Tickets are $5 General Admission; $3 Students/Seniors and available at the door the night of the performance.
