GKSOM Assistant to the Director Job Posting

Provide a high level of administrative, academic, and limited financial support for the Glenn Korff School of Music and the School Director to include managing multiple calendars, arranging travel, generating reports, and preparing and/or distributing letters and other communication on behalf of the director. Provide administrative and logistical support for the School. Provide general school information to the public and students. Coordinate travel for visiting artists and faculty search candidates. Coordinate promotion and tenure reviews including establishing a meeting schedule that aligns with the Hixson-Lied College and Executive Vice Chancellor deadlines. Serve as Office Manager for the Glenn Korff School of Music in overseeing daily operations and advising the Director for efficiency and effectiveness. Assist with purchasing functions for the School and provide supervision of office staff to ensure appropriate staffing levels and adherence to university, college, and school policies and procedures. Serve as events co-coordinator for events hosted by the Glenn Korff School of Music to include event logistics, space rentals, caterer selections, and management of guest lists.
