DEADLINES

Fellowships & Mini-Grants: Applications are due June 30, 2020, for the NASA Nebraska Space Grant Fellowships and Mini-Grants. Occasionally, funding may be available beyond this date.

STUDENT FELLOWSHIPS

NASA is interested in the development of the future workforce for the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. The NASA Nebraska Space Grant competitive fellowships are awarded to students with academic achievement and demonstrated interest in STEM careers. The fellowships require engagement in STEM fields, and therefore are not traditional scholarships. Students must propose a workforce development activity, research project, internship, or similar project for the fellowship. https://www.nespacegrant.org/opportunities

NASA INTERNSHIPS

NASA Centers across the U.S. offer internships to work with NASA scientists. NASA Nebraska Space Grant works with the NASA Centers to identify highly qualified students for these opportunities.

RESEARCH MINI-GRANTS

These grants provide Nebraska faculty researchers with support for aerospace-related research to build ties with NASA scientists and conduct research important to NASA. The grants aim to elevate the aerospace-related research conducted in Nebraska for infrastructure building and workforce development opportunities. https://www.nespacegrant.org/mini-grants

HIGHER EDUCATION MINI-GRANTS

NASA is interested in the development of the future aerospace workforce, especially underrepresented students and females. Higher Education Mini-Grants are available for innovative projects and programs that will recruit or develop students in aerospace-related fields at the college or university level, and encourage them to pursue careers in these fields after they graduate. Current projects include design challenge and competition teams, aerospace-related course development, and more. These grants are limited to projects for college and university students only.
