NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement has released a funding opportunity in the interest of increasing collaboration during the 2020-21 school year.

Proposals are being solicited from eligible STEM NETWORKS and STEM INFLUENCERS to provide high-quality NASA-related STEM content and experiences to K-12 students. These partnerships will enable the dissemination and implementation of STEM engagement opportunities tied to the Next Gen STEM project’s mission-focused activities.

For more information, view the full National STEM Innovation Partnership Solicitation here: https://www.nasa.gov/stem/nextgenstem/partnersolictation.html.

Submissions are being accepted through July 20, 2020. Up to three awards (maximum of $125,000) will be made through a competitive application process. This solicitation is being managed by Paragon TEC, a support service contractor to NASA.

Partnerships play a critical role to ensure that NASA can meet the following Next Gen STEM project goals:
1. Achieve scalability and efficient distribution of NASA content through channels to educators nationwide, including both urban and rural geographies;
2. Create and deliver innovative opportunities and learning experiences beyond current NASA capabilities; and
3. Extend NASA content and experiential learning opportunities to historically underserved and underrepresented communities.

We invite STEM leaders to apply for this unique opportunity and join the agency’s compelling legacy of investing in the nation’s education programs; supporting the vital educators who are preparing, inspiring, encouraging, and nurturing today’s young minds; and engaging the science and engineering innovators and leaders of tomorrow.
