Faculty and graduate students are invited to X-DBER 2021, a conference exploring themes in discipline-based education research across STEM disciplines. This virtual conference will take place March 1-3, hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
The conference will foster cross-disciplinary conversations focused on several core themes: educational tools and interventions; learning and cognitive research; diversity, inclusion, and equity; student experiences and affect; and integrating disciplinary practices. The conference is free for all participants.
Abstracts for participant talks and posters are due Jan. 17. General registration will close on Feb. 21.
X-DBER 2021 is being organized by Brian Couch, associate professor in the School of Biological Sciences; Joe Dauer, associate professor in the School of Natural Resources; Tomas Helikar, associate professor in Biochemistry; Alena Moon, assistant professor in Chemistry; and Grace Panther, assistant professor in Civil Engineering; and is sponsored by the NebraskaSCIENCE Program of Excellence and the Center for Science, Mathematics, and Computer Education.
