NebraskaSCIENCE is excited to share an opportunity for experienced science teachers at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the Noyce Master Teaching Fellow Program supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
By participating in this program, you will learn how to increase student interest and success in science by enhancing your knowledge of equitable and inclusive science teaching and learning, as well as developing your leadership skills.
The next deadline to apply for this program is October 15.
The UNL Noyce Master Teacher Fellows program is 5 years long and includes the following components:
• Educational Specialist degree (including a certificate in educational leadership)
• Annual summer professional development institutes
• National Board Certification
• Development of and participation in inclusive science education and teacher leadership activities
• Join a national community of NSF Noyce Master Teaching Fellows (MTFs)
• $11,000 yearly salary supplement.
To be eligible for this MTF program, you must:
• be a current, experienced (ideally have taught for 5 years), secondary science teacher in a Nebraska high-need school (FRL rates of 40% or more); and
• have completed a master’s degree in science (MS) or science education/teaching (MA)
