Encourage high school students to participate in regional JSHS symposium

Junior Science and Humanities Symposium is a STEM research competition for 9th-12th graders, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense (U.S. Office of the Secretary of Defense and the U.S. Departments of the Army, Navy, and Air Force). JSHS promotes original research and experimentation in the sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) at the high school level through competition at regional and national levels in eight core STEM areas:

Biomedical Sciences
Chemistry
Engineering and Technology
Environmental Sciences
Life and Behavioral Sciences
Mathematics and Computer Sciences
Medicine and Health
Physical Sciences

Any 9-12 graders completing individual, original STEM research projects are welcome to register for the competition to compete for scholarships and cash awards at the regional and national level. Students are welcome to submit projects that they have done for their local science fair or another competition.

Registration for Nebraska students is in the Heartland region: https://jshs.org/region/heartland/. JSHS is completely free to register and participate in, and will pay for travel/accommodations for all students that make it to the national competition.
