The 134th Annual Meeting for the Nebraska Academy of Sciences is scheduled for Friday, April 19, 2024, at the University of Nebraska East Campus Union.
NAS will host this event using a hybrid format, with both in-person and remote-Zoom access options for presentations and attendance for most Sections of the meeting. Please contact NAS or your Section Chair for details about the presentation options for a specific Section.
NAS encourages you to attend in-person if possible because we value the opportunity for face-to-face interactions, but NAS also knows that not everyone who wants to participate in the Annual Meeting is able and willing to travel.
Please take note of important dates associated with preparations for the Annual Meeting below. NAS invites you to attend and present your research results as part of the Meeting’s Program. Please encourage others in your peer group to also join NAS and participate in the Annual Meeting and take the steps now to renew your membership or do so in conjunction with your registration for the meeting.
Conference deadlines are as follows:
- February 23, 2024 - Abstracts Due
- March 15, 2024 - NAS section chairpersons will notify presenters of abstract acceptance status
- April 5, 2024 - Online Registration closes, will reopen the morning of the meeting
- April 18, 2024 - Nebraska Junior Academy of Sciences State Competition
- April 19, 2024 – 134th NAS Annual Meeting
To submit an abstract: Please prepare and submit an abstract and register as a presenter at https://neacadsci.org/Springmeeting2024. A template to guide preparation of your abstract is available to download from the 2024 information page. We encourage students to take this opportunity to present research results and engage with others in their field. The Meeting Program and Abstracts will be available online for all participants and published in the Proceedings of the Nebraska Academy of Sciences.
To register for the meeting: We ask that everyone planning to attend the Spring Meeting please submit an online registration form, available at https://www.neacadsci.org/.
Additionally, this year NAS will be covering the cost of lunch for everyone who attends the meeting.
