Girls Code Lincoln is a local non-profit organization that teaches 4th-9th grade girls interested in STEM and is 100% free. Its goal is to close the gender gap in STEM fields.
Girls Code Lincoln strives to teach young girls about technology through creativity, community, collaboration, and confidence. It is 100% volunteer run, and its teachers share the same passion for teaching STEM topics to young girls. New student applications for 4th-9th grade girls are accepted Aug. 1-21. Visit the Girls Code website to apply, join the mailing list for updates about enrollment, and check out the Girls Code Lincoln podcast.
Girls Code is also looking for passionate, driven volunteers and board members who want to help make the STEM field more diverse and inclusive! It is looking to fill a variety of roles with different time commitments, skills, and interests. Volunteering is a great opportunity to get experience teaching and connect with the community. Apply for as many or as few roles as you'd like, or reach out to volunteer@girlscodelincoln.org to share your ideas for other ways you can get involved! Visit this form to apply to be a volunteer!
