Huskers and RSOs can connect with service opportunities to help the Lincoln community. Join fellow Huskers this month to learn about Environmental Injustice and volunteer at nonprofits connected to solving this social program.

Explore and Understand: Environmental Injustice

Environmental injustices are defined as problems with environmental systems and resources that may have emerged as a result of human developed infrastructure and interference. Additional social issues may emerge as a result, which can impact surrounding communities and have long-lasting effects.

Habitat for Humanity

Volunteer opportunities exist on weekdays between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help with the Habitat Lincoln ReStore helping restock shelves, answering phones and working in the donation center to prep items for the sales floor. Volunteer opportunities also exist on Saturdays to help with building or refurbishing homes.

Volunteer opportunities exist on April 23 between 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to help collect items, set up the event, unload vehicles and direct traffic located at the Nebraska Innovation Campus.
