As of July 1, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Parking and Transit Services has implemented a new virtual parking permit system. Instead of stickers in car windows, university parking permits will be virtual and use License Plate Recognition as permit identification.

A trio of Huskers are working directly with Nebraska communities to develop energy-saving projects. Their work is focused on Norfolk, South Sioux City and Lincoln, with projects directed at electric buses, veterans housing and carbon sequestration.
