Husker Vote Coalition

Stop by the club’s Voter Registration Tables from 2 to 4 p.m. February 20-24 in various residence hall locations to register to vote, check your voter registration status and sign up to vote by mail for the upcoming Lincoln Elections.

Join the club to write poetry and learn various performance skills at the Slam Poetry Workshop from 6 to 7:15 p.m. February 20 at Nebraska Union. Hone your skills and learn about monthly slam performance events.

Students from any major can stop by the Dare to Wear General Meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. February 21 in Gwendolyn A. Newkirk Human Sciences Building, Room 220 to meet and discuss fashion.

Student Alumni Association

Alumnae, current students and women with an affinity for the university are welcome to participate in the Nebraska Women’s Leadership Network. Stop by Nebraska Union from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. February 22 to attend virtual and in person events and benefit from professional development, mentoring and personal growth.

Engineering Student Advisory Board

The group is hosting a E-Week Bouquet Assembly Class from 4 to 6 p.m. February 22 at Jorgensen Hall. An instructor from a local flower shop will come in and teach students to assemble flower bouquets. Each student will have the opportunity to assemble two bouquets. One will be donated to Omaha's Children's Hospital, and you'll get to keep the other.

Orchesis

The club will be hosting a Hip Hop Class from 5 to 6 p.m. February 22 at the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Arts and Media. This will be an upbeat event open for all levels and majors.

French / Francophone Club

Celebrate Mardi Gras with the club at their 2023 Mardi Gras Masquerade from 6:30 to 8 p.m. February 22 in the Language Lounge (1220 T Street Rm 302). Mardi Gras, the final day before Lent, is a key cultural holiday for residents of francophone regions, particularly New Orleans. Sample locally baked king cake and craft your own carnival masks to fully embrace the carnival season. Mask supplies will be provided.

Criminal Justice Student Association

Any students with an interest in Criminal Justice are invited to the club’s Jeopardy Night from 6 to 8 p.m. February 22 in Nebraska Hall Room 509 for a night filled with random facts about Criminal Justice professors, true crime and UNL silly facts.

Take a break from studying and connect with other Huskers at the club’s Board Game Night from 7 to 10 p.m. February 24 in the Nebraska Union Platte River Room.

Campus NightLife

The group is hosting a Talent Showcase + Karaoke Night from 7 to 9 p.m. February 24 in the Nebraska Union Swanson Auditorium. Get on stage and show off your special talents -- sing, dance, juggle, perform magic, contort -- or just watch your friends perform. In between talent acts, audience members can sing karaoke. This event is free for all students with Event Pass. Email arohr4@unl.edu by 4 p.m. February 22 to secure a performance spot. Describe your talent and performance in the message.
