Enjoy snacks, drinks, and an evening of storytelling from Huskers who studied or lived abroad. This event is open to all students, so feel free to drop by to listen to some entertaining stories from fellow Huskers, or, if you’re interested in sharing a story, sign-ups will be available at the event to tell a 3-5 minute story about your global experience.

Celebrate the holiday season and join Dining Services for a delicious Thanksgiving meal in the dining centers.
Service change:
• Abel Dining Center will convert to an all-you-care-to-eat location, on this day only, for the dinner meal period. To enjoy the Thanksgiving Dinner, come to the dining center and scan your NCard like any other all-you-care-to-eat location.
Serving hours:
• Abel Dining Center will serve dinner from 4:30-8:30 p.m.
• Cather & Harper Dining Centers will serve dinner from 4:30–8 p.m.
• East Campus Dining Center will serve a Thanksgiving lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

2023 State of Diversity

Since 2019, the State of Diversity has featured historical and key data, reporting, and updates on initiatives and efforts designed to inform, equip, and engage the campus community on diversity-related trends and issues at the University. Through updates delivered by the Vice Chancellor of Diversity and Inclusion and featuring national thought-leaders, sharing expertise and pathways forward for inclusive excellence at Nebraska, the State of Diversity is open to all members of the campus community.
The State of Diversity 2023 will feature several diversity leaders across the nation in a panel conversation designed to educate and inform campus on pressing diversity issues and perspectives on building equity across institutions of higher learning.

Engaging with the Legislature

Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center
A free presentation to help attendees understand the different ways they can engage with the Nebraska Legislature and develop skills that may be applied to other state legislatures.
Topics to be discussed are:
• when is the legislative session
• different parts of the legislative process
• finding relevant bills
• understanding the various ways to submit comment.
Once the event has concluded, presenters will stay to answer questions and speak with attendees. Open to all UNL students, staff, and faculty.
