Middle Eastern and North African Student Association

The Celebrations across MENA event is a place to celebrate different holidays across the MENA region like Ramadan, Yazidi New Year, and Newroz. Join the club at 5:30 p.m. April 15 at the Nebraska Union.

Innocents Society

The Innocents Society is collaborating with the Nebraska Blood Bank to collect blood donations from our community. Participate in the blood drive at Nebraska Union from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. April 16.

Yazidi Community Club

Çarşema Serê Nîsanê is an event for all Yazidi students at UNL on the night before Eid. It's a very special holiday to celebrate cultural heritage. This event will include color eggs. Join the Yazidi Community Club at Nebraska Union from 4:30 to 9 p.m. April 16.

Sustain UNL

The club is hosting its annual Clothing Swap. Drop off clothes at the East Campus and City Campus Unions on Thursday 4/18 and Friday 4/19. Pick out as many clothing items as you donated for the swap days on Monday 4/22 and Tuesday 4/23 or, if you do not donate clothes, you can purchase clothes on swap days for $1 per piece. Donation bins will also be available in select residence halls.

Join fellow First-Gen students at the Husker Bowling Center on East Campus for bowling starting at 5:30 p.m. April 18.

Gaypril is an event celebrating Pride in April, for students not available during June. Gaypril will take place in room A249 at Kiewit Hall at 7 p.m. April 18. Attendees can participate in pride trivia, crafts, and more.

University Program Council and UNL A Capella Groups

Join UPC Nebraska and UNL’s A Capella Groups for a fun-filled night of songs and performances. On this special night, UNL’s A Capella groups will each perform a 15-minute set. A Capella Night is free for students and will take place on April 18 in the Nebraska Union Ballroom from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

You are invited to a Night of Latino Rhythms in Mari’s Lounge in Sandoz Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. April 19, hosted by the Alpha Gamma Chapter of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. and the Phi Alpha Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc.

UNITE presents the Annual Honoring of Graduates Powwow. Competitive dancing, drum groups, food, and vendors will all be present. All are welcome and encouraged to join in a celebration of Native American Culture and local Native American graduates, from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. April 20 in the Union Green Space.

Kappa Kappa Gamma

Participate in the Kappa Car Wash from 12 to 3 p.m. April 21 at the Kappa house parking lot. Tickets will sell on crowdchange for $10 and all proceeds will go towards Mental Health America. Shirts will also be available for purchase at the end of the car wash.

UNL Pre-Vet Club

The club will be hosting a painting fundraiser to help provide scholarships to members. All supplies will be provided - just bring your dog, cat, or any pet you own with paws to Paint with Paws from 1 to 4 p.m. April 21 in the East Union green space.

Engineering Ambassadors Network

The Engineering Carnival is a public fundraiser in which young students will have the opportunity to participate in an engineering-themed carnival. There will be a number of booths with activities, each of which corresponds to an engineering presentation topic used for school visits and other outreach events. From 12 to 5 p.m. April 21, participants can design a bridge, launch a rocket, capture wind energy, survive an earthquake, create prosthetics, and more in the Nebraska Union Ballroom. Each activity will cost one ticket ($1 each).

Afghan Student Association

Join the student org to practice and learn the significant Afghan dance - the Attan - to celebrate Afghan culture, at 7 p.m. April 21 in the Nebraska Union Ballroom.
