The International Folk Dance Club will perform a dance concert on Saturday, Nov., 9, 2013 to raise funds for the Richard Boohar Scholarship. The fund is part of the Nebraska Legends, a program that offers scholarships to the best and brightest students across country to bring them to UNL. Boohar served as chief advisor in the School of Biological Sciences for many years and received the Student Foundation Award for Outstanding Advising in 1988. Dick was a member and long-time supporter of the Folk Dance Club.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. in the Great Plains Room of the East Campus Union. We hope you will join us to experience different cultures through dance while supporting a great scholarship. There will be silent auction items to bid on as well. Tickets are $10 per person, $5 for students and are available from any club member. Contact Eva Bachman at ebachman1@unl.edu for more information.
