Free giveaways, games, food and entertainment all return for GET REC'd 2015. The Midewest's largest college lifestyle festival returns to UNl for the ninth consecutive year from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 22 & 23 in the UNL Campus Rec Center. Over 60 local, regional, and national companies will showcase their products and services - travel, food, clothing, financial, entertainment, housing and more - to the UNL community. Free admission for all students & visitors.
UNL students can also sign up to compete in four premium contests to win amazing prizes. It's free to sign up and compete, but students need to register before 11 p.m. Jan. 21 at http://go.unl.edu/78ny (click on the contest link).
This year's contests & prizes:
• ULTIMATE ROAD TRIP CONTEST (Friday, Jan. 23)
An ultimate road trip deserves an ultimate competition. Ten teams of two contend to be the last one standing as they battle it through unique & challenging games.
Grand Prize: All-expense-paid Spring Break Surf Adventure for two, courtesy of UNL Outdoor Adventures. Includes round-trip ground transportation to California, four days of surfing adventure in California, sleep accommodations, meals and $500 spending cash courtesy of the University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union.

• HUSKER FAN CHALLENGE (Thursday, Jan. 22)
Think you have what it takes to impress Husker athletes and the Spirit Squad to prove your ultimate Husker fandom? Eight students will have the chance to show off their school spirit in a variety of competitive games.
1st Prize: Ultimate Spring Game Experience (tour, sideline pass & 4 tickets to game)

• GREAT COLLEGE CHOP-OFF (Thursday, Jan. 22)
There’s a chef inside all of us just waiting to come out. Three students will show off their culinary skills as they attempt to create dishes with our mystery ingredients typically found in residence halls.

• PEPSI OLYMPICS (Thursday, Jan. 22)
The Pepsi Olympics is a set of fun competitions in which six students compete in mini-games to accumulate the most points to win the gold. These contests will test some light athletic ability, humor and your ability to consume and manipulate Pepsi products.
