Students looking for an alternative to traditional academic credit can enroll in one of more than 40 courses offered by Campus Recreation to receive 1-2 credit hours per class. A wide range of life skills classes include backpacking, judo, tennis, golf, bowling, scuba diving, kayaking, weight training and wilderness medicine courses. Options also include career-related courses like personal training, personal & group exercise, and CPR, AED & first aid training.

Academic courses offered through Campus Recreation are perfect for students who need extra hours to be designated a full-time student or are looking for a fun way to learn a new skill. All classes are also offered with a 0 credit option.

To enroll in academic credit classes, students must be current UNL students and register via MyRed. Recreation classes can be found by looking for "Rec" under the course subject when registering for classes.
