HCC is proud to host a Software Carpentry Workshop at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

This hands-on workshop will cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems.

Topics covered include:
- Automating tasks using the Unix shell
- Software Version Control (Git)
- Reproducible Data Science with R

This three-day workshop will feature two days of extended R which includes the basics of the R-core as well as an overview of popular packages such as ggplot2, dplyr, tidyr and knitr. Check out the schedule for a full list of all topics to be covered!
