UNL Campus Recreation will offer several paddling opportunities for UNL students and the UNL community this Fall through its Outdoor Adventures program. Opportunities include:

MISSOURI CLIMBING WEEKEND
Find a little climbing in our (relative) back yard. Outdoor Adventures is heading to Missouri to spend the weekend at the sunny crags south and east of Kansas City. Enjoy a little top-roping on moderate sport climbs of the Mid-West. Trip is held Sept. 22-23. Cost is $75 for Nebraska students and Campus Rec members and $100 for General Public.

SETTING FOR MOVEMENT – ROUTE SETTING WORKSHOP
Learn how to set fun and creative movements for indoor climbing walls. During this workshop you will learn the basics of creating movements through a short classroom session, putting holds on the wall, and collaborating to elicit thought provoking movement. Workshop is held 7-9 p.m. Wednesdays Sept. 26-Oct. 17. Cost is $55 for Nebraska students and Campus Rec members and $75 for General Public.

FROM GYM TO CRAG
Gain a basic core skill-set and use those skills in a variety of settings to form foundational understanding of basic self-rescue or anchoring for basic sport climbs. While completion of this course won't get you set to climb El Cap, you'll gain core skills to help you confidently transition to climbing outdoors with skilled friends. Participants must possess a current Lead Climb Pass at the Outdoor Adventures Center and should have at least one year of climbing experience.
TOOLS FOR THE EFFICIENT CLIMBER
Two sessions will be held – Oct. 2 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Oct. 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. Each session is $95 for Nebraska students and Campus Rec members and $125 for General Public.
SPORT ANCHORS
Two sessions will be held – Oct. 9 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Oct. 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 9 session is $60 for Nebraska students and Campus Rec members and $75 for General Public. Oct. 29 session is $45 for Nebraska students and Campus Rec members and $60 for General Public.

LXB (LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY BOULDERERS)
The League of Extraordinary Boulders (LXB) is a four-week team competition where groups of three climbers try out brand-new bouldering routes once a week, earning points based on the difficulty of the route and other factors. This is a great opportunity to learn from more experienced climbers, find new climbing partners and improve your bouldering skills on fun and creative routes. All climbing skill levels are welcome. Free for UNL students and Campus Recreation members and $30 for General Public. The league is held Thursdays, Oct. 25-Nov. 15 and two sessions are available – 7-8:30 p.m. or 8:30-10 p.m.

Participants can register for the events via the link below, by calling 402.472.4777 or by visiting the Outdoor Adventures Center.
