Nominations open for inaugural Student Luminary Awards

Designed to shine a light on exceptional students, the Student Luminary Awards will recognize ten Nebraska students for their leadership and commitment.

As part of the sesquicentennial celebration, up to eight undergraduate and two graduate student luminaries will be named. This new honor will replace the Outstanding Student Leadership Awards.

Nominees should demonstrate a significant and active commitment to inclusion, advocate for positive change, initiate activities that help every Husker feel valued, strive for personal well-being, and model academic excellence both inside and outside the classroom.

Student recipients will receive a $1,000 monetary award. Nominations are due January 18, 2019.

Nominations are open to faculty and staff members. Nomination packets may contain one letter of recommendation from a peer.
