Campus Recreation and the National Fitness Campaign (NFC) partnered together to expand the reach of fitness opportunities at Nebraska with the installation of the new state-of-the-art outside functional fitness area at the corner of 17th and R Streets (north of the Delta Gamma house and east of Knoll Residence Complex).
An official launch party is 5 p.m. Tuesday, August 27. Students are invited to stop by for a workout and a chance for giveaways. Campus Rec staff will be on-hand to demonstrate the circuit-training system and how students can achieve a full-body workout in as little as seven minutes.
NFC’s “7 Movements in 7 Minutes” is a simple yet powerful workout created for a range of athletic abilities, and is optimally performed on the Fitness Court. Developed by experts in the field, each exercise takes 45 seconds, with a 15-second interlude between sets, and is shown to burn more calories per minute than most other forms of exercise.
