Six graduate courses for secondary teachers offered on campus

What will you learn in Summer 2014 that will enhance your ability as a mathematics teacher?

Summer has always been a time when highly motivated teachers continue their graduate education so that they return to their school in the fall eager to transfer knowledge gained into their own teaching. What's new in recent years is the development of mathematics and pedagogy courses that emphasize mathematical knowledge for teaching delivered in a teacher friendly format. This is the mission of the Nebraska Math and Science Summer Institutes.

For all on-site NMSSI courses, current Nebraska teachers automatically qualify for a tuition fellowship from UNL equal to 20 percent of in-state, graduate tuition. Additionally, Nebraska K-12 teachers can apply for supplemental NMSSI Fellowships to further defray tuition costs for NMSSI courses. See our NMSSI website for details.
