Summer engineering opportunity for science teachers

Summer opportunity for high school science teachers and their students

Peter and Eli Sutter, Professors in the College of Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, are looking for Nebraska high school science teachers interested in a summer research experience for themselves and a group of their students.

They are planning a one-week hands-on workshop for one teacher and up to six (junior-level) students for the summer of 2016. During this week, the participants will have the opportunity to actively join in their research, and to develop experiments they will bring back to their school to enrich their science classroom materials and share their experience with other students at their school.

UNL will cover travel costs, accommodations and meals during the workshop for all participants, and can also provide a stipend for the teacher.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact them by e-mail at psutter@unl.edu and esutter@unl.edu.
