See the action yourself when Iowans gather on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, to officially start the presidential election process. Journey to Council Bluffs with other OLLI political devotees and enjoy a quick dinner on the way. Then observe campaign volunteers hawk the chances of their candidate, listen to the official proceedings as spokespersons speak to the virtues of each contending candidate. Watch as the official balloting occurs and learn firsthand which candidate captures the Council Bluffs precinct we are visiting.
We will depart Lincoln at 3 p.m. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure. An early dinner will be on your own at the FarmHouse Café and Bakery. After dinner, we will depart for the caucus location. The Iowa caucuses begin at 7 p.m. We will head back to Lincoln at approximately 9:30 p.m.
