A lecture and tree planting are part of events set for May 16 celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Earl G. Maxwell Arboretum on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's East Campus.

The Lincoln Community Playhouse presents "Ragtime" on May 5-7 and 11-14. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and at 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.
