On Saturday, June 10, 2017, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Libraries will host its third annual genealogy and family history day with the theme, “Family History Research through Life's Stages,” in Room 143 of the College of Business Administration (CBA), from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Due to limited seating, pre-registration is required. A full program and registration information is available at http://go.unl.edu/tiky or contact jbarnes3@unl.edu or t_m@unl.edu
Participants will learn about resources that reveal information about each stage in a person’s life from birth, school, adulthood, and death. A variety of presenters will highlight a diverse range of resources held in courthouses, county government, historical societies, and libraries.
Local professional genealogists, Gail Blankenau and Marcia Stewart, are scheduled to give talks on how to cite your sources and the use of church records respectively. The presentations are free and participants can attend the entire day or specific sessions. University libraries sponsors the event.
Participants can bring lunch or purchase lunch at a downtown restaurant. Attendees are encouraged to use the “for-pay” parking at the Larson Building at 13th and Q Streets. The College of Business Administration building is located at 12th & R Streets.
