This year's program "Sunday Afternoons at the Movies" focuses on musicals. Join us for "West Side Story" on February 25 and "Grease" on March 25.
Musicals have always invited moviegoers into theaters to lose themselves in gorgeous locations, snappy dialogue and enchanting songs. Many movie musicals were hits on Broadway before they were translated to the silver screen. We will rediscover two of these favorites from the 1960s and 1970s, and consider how this genre evolved from decade to decade and continues to evolve today.
Time: 1:30-4:30 p.m.
Location: UNL Home Economics Building, East Campus, Room 11
Cost: $5 per movie. Registration is required for each movie. Open to OLLI members and a guest.
