Explore the history of Kawasaki motorcycles with an original engineer who helped fuel a culture. Lanny Nissen, UNL mechanical engineering alum and employee of the Kawasaki Motors, discusses the rise of motorsports and the motorcycle’s evolution. The lecture will be presented on Friday, Sept. 28, 2–3 p.m., Georgian Suite, Second Floor, Nebraska Union, City Campus, 1400 R St.

You will also hear a first-hand account on why Kawasaki entered the motorcycle industry, their experiences and the development of other businesses at the Lincoln plant. The presentation will conclude with a Q&A moderated by Dr. Sangjin Ryu, professor of engineering at UNL.
