Abendmusik at First-Plymouth Church is offering two extraordinary musical performances in February.

One of the world's foremost vocal chamber ensembles, New York Polyphony gives vibrant voice to repertoire ranging from Gregorian chant to the cutting-edge. The two-time GRAMMY nominated quartet will perform the newly commissioned Missa Charles Darwin, modeled after a five-movement mass but with text by Charles Darwin. The performance is Sunday, Feb 24, 4 p.m. For tickets call 402-476-9933.

More than 200 of Lincoln's most talented high school singers and instrumentalists from Lincoln East High School, Norris High School, and Lincoln Southeast High School join professional soloists and orchestral section leaders in a side-by-side performance of a timeless masterwork: Vivaldi’s “Gloria.” Led by guest clinician and conductor, Deanna Joseph, on Monday, Feb 25, 7 p.m. This is a free concert, freewill offering.
