In place of an August open house, plan to come to a “showcase” of OLLI courses. You can sample mini-courses taught by OLLI instructors, explore fascinating subjects and meet like-minded people. A reception will round out the afternoon. More later.
Pick up a few OLLI catalogs and help spread the word
The OLLI office is now receiving print overruns of the OLLI catalog. Stop by the OLLI office and pick up a few catalogs to distribute to your friends, neighbors, to your favorite coffee shop and other locations around town.
"Nature Lover's Hike" is rescheduled
This class, originally scheduled in February, was canceled due to weather. It has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2:30-4:30 p.m., at Pioneers Park. Professor Nan Kim to speak on the legacies of war and division of the two Koreas
The next lecture of the 2019 OLLI/Winter Lecture Series is on Sunday, March 3, 7 p.m., at the Unitarian Church, 6300 A Street. Sherri Jones named dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences
Sherri Jones, chair of the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders, has been named dean of UNL’s College of Education and Human Sciences. Jones will begin her appointment July 1. She was chosen following a national search. OLLI at UNL is an outreach program of the College of Education and Human Sciences.
Arts for the Soul: Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas, Scottish Fiddle & Cello
Alasdair Fraser was first on the Arts for the Soul series in the spring of 2014, creating an evening of energy and joy that was talked about long afterward.
