OmniArts Nebraska is continuing its seventh season of productions: VISIONS MANFEST, with the absurd and hilarious comedy, "The Day Room," by novelist Don DeLillo.
The play opens in a brightly lit hospital room occupied by two men, Budge and Wyatt. Slowly but unavoidably, their world begins to spin away from reality as they are visited by a series of fellow patients and hospital staffers, all of whom, it turns out, may not be what they seem. As the play progresses, our vision of the world is called into question. All the characters have visions of themselves that are fully formed, or so we are led to believe. Humor takes hold as reality devolves into absurdity. In the end we are left wondering, what truth there is in our vision of reality, or if reality ever existed.
