Peace Corps Prep helping students ready for global careers
Last summer, Katie Schmitz volunteered in Arusha, Tanzania, to teach at an elementary school for six weeks. The junior global studies major from Omaha said she’s excited that the Peace Corps Prep program will help her prepare for serving in the Peace Corp
Nine students have joined the inaugural cohort of the Peace Corps Prep program this semester. In addition to offering targeted coursework and hands-on experiences, the program helps students build competencies needed to serve as Peace Corps volunteers and in other international development fields.
