Campus locations adjust hours for Fall Break

During the Fall Break October 13-17, various campus spaces will remain open with reduced hours and select closed days. Libraries, dining centers, the unions, the rec centers, health center and other spots are changing hours. Here's the full list of what is open and what is not.

Counselors-in-residence offer convenient mental health resources

As a counselor-in-residence in Eastside Suites, Payton Horacek’s goal is to help Huskers feel like they have someone nearby to turn to when they need to talk. She’s one of three trained mental health professionals stationed in residence halls around campus available to meet with resident students.

UNLPD offers ‘safe exchange zones’ to complete internet transactions

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Police Department has established two on-campus “safe exchange” zones for University of Nebraska–Lincoln students, faculty and staff who have purchased or sold an item using an online service such as Facebook Marketplace.

Backpack your way into fall break

Every fall, the Outdoor Adventures Center hosts three fall break trips. This year, the three trips are the Ozarks backpacking trip, the Buffalo River canoeing trip and the Horseshoe Canyon climbing trip. Registration for these three trips closes Oct. 8, and the trips will take place Oct. 13-17.
