Become part of the UNL Parents Association Advisory Board

All parents of students enrolled for the 2024 academic year are members of the UNL Parents Association and are eligible to serve on the executive board. Applications are due November 30, 2023.

You do not need to live in Nebraska to serve on the board. We are pleased to have had many Board members who have lived both in and out-of-state.

Since 1987 the UNL Parents Association has worked to strengthen the bond between the university and parents by encouraging two-way communication, supporting activities that enhance students' educational experience, keeping parents informed and promoting the advancement of the university. The UNL Parents Association works with UNL Student Affairs to accomplish these goals.

Meetings
The UNL Parents Association typically meets monthly via zoom. Board members may be asked to provide input on University-related issues, assist with events/activities and share information with other parents.

Positions for the Executive Board are effective for two calendar years (January-December) and include:
