UNL Parents Association Awards over $5,000 in Mini-Grants

The UNL Parents Association provides funding in the form of mini-grants to UNL Departments or Recognized Student Organizations who need assistance in providing services to UNL students. The purpose of the mini-grants is to enhance the UNL experience for the UNL student population. This year, the UNL Parents Association provided financial support to:

*College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) Week Recognition Award for recipient portfolios ($1,000)
*Campus Recreation Wellness Program for marketing, sponsorships, nutrition classes and prizes ($800)
*Gender Programs for an easel ($265)
*Journalism and Mass Communications (CoJMC) Freshmen Experience Enhancement Program for t-shirts, refreshments; publicity and printed material ($1,000)
*Eating Disorder Education and Prevention (EDEP) for fruit,water and granola ($200)
*University Health Center Stress Free Zone for a photo booth, chair massages and stress kit items ($1,000)
*University Child Care for medical safety training items such as manikins and face shields, etc. ($1,000)
