As we look toward the 2014- 2015 school year at UNL, we know that all the students will soon be buzzing around campus. The Nebraska City Union is a great place for students to spend time with friends or for studying or grabbing lunch in-between classes; Auntie Anne’s Pretzels has been added to the list of great places to grab food at the Union. For all those new guests to campus, don’t miss the Union’s Welcome desk where you will find a friendly face and any directions you may need. This year you will notice that the Nebraska Student Union on city campus has had a facelift. Space has been opened up for a more cohesive look throughout the area. New furniture gives the union a new vibe, and students are taking advantage of the booths and lounge space provided. TV’s are installed and working monitors are available for public use. Outside the union has a café-esk feel, with tables and umbrellas provided to enjoy the fountain and fresh air. All construction at the union is planned to be done by the start of fall semester.
