Spring Into Academic Action!

Encourage your student to improve their study skills.
Encourage your student to improve their study skills.

With Spring semester almost halfway complete now is a great time to remind your student about the resources First-Year Experience and Transition Programs (FYETP) offers. FYETP can help your student through individual academic success coaching, small-group academic skills workshops, or our Study Stop tutoring locations.

Academic success coaching can help your student in all areas of academic life. Our professional coaches partner with students to develop learning skills and success strategies. We help students remain motivated through goal setting, and developing study and note-taking and test-taking techniques. Our goal is to help students determine where they want to go and create a plan to get them there. Appointments can made by calling the office (402-472-1880) or through MyPLAN.

Workshop topics include Reading Strategies, Study Skills, Time Management, Test Preparation, and more. These sessions are held on campus. View times and locations.

Instead of paying for a tutor, your student can visit a Study Stop to meet with trained learning consultants. The Study Stops provide students a dedicated place to study, either by themselves or in groups, and are open Sunday through Thursday from 7:00-10:00pm at locations across campus. Students do not need to make appointments, and they may help themselves to free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
