Procurement Services welcomed Jessica to the team in December 2017. She is a vital part of the "J-Team", our contracts specialists, whose first names all begin with J! (including Julie Snyder and Julie Hopp) Information Technology Services keeps Jessica busy as she primarily works on IT contracts.
The contracts team reviews contract language and negotiates with suppliers to ensure that our University contracts comply with Board of Regents policy and State of Nebraska statutes. We work with University General Counsel to make sure our contracts meet University requirements. Helpful Tip: Please make sure you engage the Contracts team early on so we can work with you and your supplier and help make the process as efficient as possible. The sooner we are engaged, the more likely we are able to assist in guiding suppliers on University requirements, and help to mitigate delays that sometimes happen in the later stages.
Jessica is also a busy mom with her two-year old son and loves spending time with him and her husband at local music and art events, the Lincoln Children's Zoo and basically anything outdoors. Whenever possible, Jessica enjoys supporting local restaurants such as Sultan's Kite, The Oven and Blue Orchid. If given a choice, she would choose salted caramel gelato over ice cream!
