COMM 392: Storytelling & Health in Italy
Application Deadline: February 15
COMM 392: Study Abroad (Storytelling and Health) focuses on how narratives and storytelling help people create their identities, cope with difficulty and stress, connect with other people, and socialize people across various cultures (personal, local, national, global) to meanings, values, and beliefs. Students will explore course concepts in a classroom setting on campus from May 25 to May 29, 2026 before flying to Southern Italy and spending 2 weeks exploring stunning and culturally rich locales such as the Amalfi Coast, Naples, Capri, Sorrento, and the island of Ischia while applying course concepts about the ways in which storytelling affects and reflects our health and well-being.
