Sexual Assault and Sexual Health research lab
Becca Howard Valdivia is a graduate student in Dr. Katy Holland's Sexual Assault and Sexual Health research lab. Becca is recruiting one or two research assistants (RAs) to work on her qualitative research project. Her study involves interviewing LGBTQIA+ sexual assault survivors of Color about their experiences talking about the assault to university employees. RAs would help with recruitment, transcribing interviews, and potentially data analysis. RAs would get experience working on a qualitative research project. If you are interested, please email Becca at rhoward10@huskers.unl.edu.
Legal Decision-Making Lab
Dr. Wiener’s Legal Decision-Making Lab is currently recruiting undergraduate Research Assistants for an Immigration Court-watching project. Research Assistants will have the opportunity to gain valuable research experience by attending Immigration Court and collecting data through structured observations during court proceedings. Research Assistants may also earn course credit for their time. Court observations will begin this semester and continue through the end of the Spring 2026 semester. If interested, undergraduates should contact Daniella Cluver at dcluver2@huskers.unl.edu to request an application.
Family Development Lab
2026-2026 academic year | 3.5+ GPA preferred | Applications reviewed in March; summer starts are prioritized
Our research aims to understand how family relationships shape emotional health and development. We look at everything from parenting teamwork to how couples handle conflict to see how the home environment impacts the emotional well-being of family members. To get the full picture, we use tools like interviews, observations, and questionnaires.
