The Homecoming team has been working diligently for the past six months to reignite past traditions and establish future traditions that will engage students, alumni, and the entire Husker community to join in the celebration and look forward to returning to campus each year for Homecoming.
One of the key elements we are focused on is reinvigorating the Homecoming Parade. The parade will take place on October 4, 2019, at 6 p.m. The parade will come down Vine Street and conclude in the newly renovated Memorial Mall along the east side of Memorial Stadium. This year you have the opportunity to decorate a golf cart for your organization, or you can build a float, or walk. You are highly encouraged to engage the audience watching the parade.
The excitement will build as it enters Memorial Mall where the Cornstock festival will be in progress, offering a memorable afternoon and evening for Huskers of all ages. Festival activities include performances by parade participants and musical guests, the annual jester competition, food trucks and more.
