Hosting events with 50 or more attendees

Many RSOs have hosted very successful events of all sizes this semester. We are very proud of the great work many of you have done to keep each other safe.

As the semester continues and the campus community continues to adapt to the ever changing landscape, there have been two important adjustments to RSO events that anticipate over 50 attendees.

1. All events with 50 or more attendees are required to have a a UNL staff member or the sponsoring organization’s advisor serve as the Event Point of Contact. The event point of contact is required to be present for the duration of the event(s) and responsible for ensuring compliance with all directed health measures and venue guidelines.

2. A field has been added to the request form, which asks for the Capacity of the space you are utilizing. Talk to the facility and ask about the capacity of the space where you are hosting the event.

If you need help submitting this form or completing your risk assessment, please let Student Involvement know! We're happy to help walk you through ideas, risk mitigation strategies and more. This resource might help you get started filling out the form https://go.unl.edu/over50rsoguidance
