UNDM Returns to Campus This Fall

The University of Nebraska Dance Marathon (UNDM) is back this school year and is looking forward to a successful year in helping to change kid’s health.

University of Nebraska Dance Marathon is one of the largest registered student organizations on campus. Every year, we recruit students from all over campus to come together and fundraise for Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha. We host small events on campus and within the Lincoln community to integrate all walks of life into our mission of being one generation fighting for the next. The pinnacle of our year is a 13.1 hour “Dance Marathon” where UNL students and kids who have been treated at Children’s Hospital come together to celebrate the money we have raised and dance the night away. We integrate dancing, live acts such as a children’s talent show, crafts and activities for all ages, and even shaving heads for the kids to give families and children affected to have a day without the worries associated with their numerous stays in the hospital.

During the first two weeks of the Fall semester, UNDM is going to be present on our campus telling students about our purpose, mission, and how they can become involved. The events UNDM will be present at and have booths include:

-Party at the Union - August 21 at Nebraska Union from 9:00 PM - 11:55 PM

-Street Festival - August 22 at East Stadium Parking Lot from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

-Club Fair - August 25 at Nebraska Union from 11:15 AM - 1:15 PM
