UNL Campus Red Cross Club is hosting a Winter Blood Drive on January 25, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the City Union Centennial Room.

Faculty, staff, students and alumni from UNL can participate in the blood drive.

Due to increased cases of COVID-19, natural disasters, and normal winter weather donations have dipped to their lowest in 10 years. Typically, the Red Cross has a 5 day blood supply and it has dipped down to a one day supply.

For more information or to make an appointment go to http://redcrossblood.org. All blood types are needed. A blood donor card or driver’s license, or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. People 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in some states), who weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.

UNL COVID-19 Protocols will be in place including masks and checking the Safer Community App or a quick health screen for general public donors.
