Undergraduate students passionate about creating positive change are encouraged to apply to become a Huskers CARE Peer Educator. Peer educators facilitate workshops with fellow students to raise awareness of sexual and relationship violence, stalking, and sexual harassment.

The Center for Advocacy, Response, and Education is actively seeking applicants, welcoming undergraduate students from all majors to apply for this paid position.

Successful applicants will participate in a comprehensive training with CARE staff to help them gain an in-depth understanding of consent, sexual and relationship violence, university policies, and resources available on campus and in the community.

Huskers CARE Peer Educators are paid $13 per hour during training and when facilitating Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence workshops.

“By becoming a Peer Educator, I have the opportunity to empower my peers with knowledge and skills that can help them navigate challenging situations and make informed choices,” said Brooklyn Adams, a Veterinary Science major who has been a Peer Educator for two years.

“Collaborating with a dedicated team of individuals who share my passion for advocacy and education is incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. The opportunity to serve as a Peer Educator represents a chance for me to contribute to something bigger than myself and to be part of a movement towards a safer, healthier campus environment,” said Adams.
