Big Red Welcome Registration is Around the Corner!
SLICE is excited to participate in UNL’s Big Red Welcome program, offering three fantastic events during welcome week for new and returning students. Here are the details for this year’s events:
Party at the Union:
• Date: Saturday, August 24th
• Time: 9pm – midnight
• Location: Nebraska Union
• Details: The can’t-miss Saturday event of Big Red Welcome! Thousands of new Husker students descend on the Nebraska Union for an unforgettable night of music, dancing, comedy, and other performances. This major party before the fall semester features music, food, a DJ, caricature artists, and tons of activities from UNL’s Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs).
Nvolvement Fair:
• Date: Wednesday, August 28th
• Time: 4pm - 6pm
• Location: Meier Commons
• Details: Discover and join a wide range of campus organizations at the University of Nebraska's annual club fair. This is your chance to showcase your organization, recruit new members, and connect with the campus community. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with students and highlight the unique offerings of your club.
East Campus Nvolvement Fair:
• Date: Thursday, August 29th
• Location: East Campus Union
• Details: Another vibrant event where students can explore and join various campus organizations. Connect with the East Campus community and showcase your organization’s unique offerings.
Registration Information:
• Opens: Monday, June 10th at noon
• Closes: When spaces are full
• Approximate Spaces: Party at the Union: 50; Nvolvement Fair: 150; East Campus Nvolvement Fair: 80
• Notifications: RSO presidents will be notified when registration opens on June 10
Requirements to Sign Up:
• RSOs must be active and in compliance.
• All fall RSOs must be in compliance at the time of their registration.
• Registration is free.
• Both Nvolvement Fairs focus primarily on RSO recruitment.
• RSOs registering for Party at the Union must offer an interactive activity during the event.
