Center for People is here to break cycles of poverty and help people in Lincoln achieve lasting economic independence. Volunteers will have the opportunity to organize a donations and distribute items to individuals.

City Impact, located in Lincoln Nebraska, empowers under-resourced communities by providing holistic youth, family, and neighborhood development programs and services. Students can help by reading to youth, assisting them with homework and facilitating activities (coloring, sports)

Tuesday, March 24 | 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.


The Good Neighbor Community Center (GNCC) offers essential and emergency services, providing support to families and individuals in Lincoln and Lancaster County. Volunteers will have the opportunity to organize a donations and distribute items to individuals.

Aging Partners
Wednesday, March 25 | 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.


Aging Partners plans, coordinates and advocates for older people in an eight-county area. Volunteers will assist with helping seniors use computers, set up instagram/facebook profiles, tips for how to use their computers and playing activities with them.

Friendship Home is an organization of people who are passionate about helping survivors of domestic violence and their children. Students will have the opportunity to do yard work, planting flowers and sorting donations.

Mourning Hope provides grief support groups, counseling, community education, resources and referrals. Students will have the opportunity to assist with organizing donations and doing yard work around the property.

People’s City Mission was started in 1907 by local churches, offering food and shelter for transient and impoverished men, women and children. This volunteer opportunity will involve sorting clothes and distributing items.
