The Innocents Society, the Chancellor's senior honorary at UNL, will be hosting the Corn Bowl Blood Drive Challenge on November 20th and 21st from 11:00am to 6:00pm on both days. The event is in conjunction with the Corn Bowl trophy exchange that is set to take place during the Nebraska-Iowa football game between members of the Innocents Society and Iowa's President's Leadership Society.
The goal of the Corn Bowl Blood Drive Challenge is to engage the student bodies at both campuses to help out their communities while promoting school spirit. Last year, Nebraska students donated over 80 more pints of blood than their counterparts at Iowa, establishing a trend of dominance that will hopefully continue this year.
The Nebraska Community Blood Bank will be responsible for managing the collection site at Mari's Lounge at Sandoz Residence hall on Wednesday, November 20th, and at the conference room of the Harper Dining Center on Thursday, November 21st. The first 150 students who donate blood will receive a free blood drive T-shirt, and students donating on the 21st will be treated to food from LaMar's Donuts and Subway.
