Ken E. Nwadike, Founder of The Free Hugs Project will speak at 7:30pm on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 in the Nebraska Union Centennial Room.
The event, sponsored by the University Program Council and OASIS, is free for University of Nebraska–Lincoln students with a valid NCard and $5.00 for faculty, staff, and public.
Nwadike, known as the “Free Hugs Guy” online is a peace activist, motivational speaker and video journalist. The Free Hugs Project is a compilation of motivational videos on YouTube and Facebook to spread love, inspire change and raise awareness of social issues. The Free Hugs Project was launched in 2014 in response to the Boston Marathon bombing and has continued to gain popularity through many popular sources such as CNN, USA Today, Good Morning Britain and BBC News.
