HELPFUL HIGHLIGHT

Each week I will be sharing tips, campus resources, and skills that can help you personally, academically, and professionally.

This week’s highlight is study tips!

1. Study effectively! You can study for hours and hours, but if you aren’t studying effectively, it won’t help you all that much. **Testing yourself and repetition are effective methods of studying.** Try making flashcards—you can make some online using Quizlet (https://quizlet.com/)!

2. Take breaks! Give yourself time to step away from your readings and your notes and give your brain a break.

3. Check out these Test Preparation Pointers from CAST: https://success.unl.edu/documents/No%20Cram%20Zone%20Test%20Taking%20Supplements.pdf

4. Keep a positive mindset! Write out some affirmations and come back to them when you need some positive encouragement. But remember—your grade on your final exam does not define who you are.
